September is the perfect time to gather the best of the bounty and squirrel it away for the colder days. Whilst we use many techniques throughout the year to preserve our home grown produce, this course transforms garden fruits into delicious drinks that will warm the cockles of your heart…

Sara Ward will welcome you to Hen Corner with drinks and homemade biscuits. After an introduction to our time together you will have opportunity to stroll around the garden visiting the chickens and bees, then off to the conservatory to make some magic…

Sara will explain the background to Cider Sunday and outline different preserving techniques including fermenting drinks, we will then choose from a selection of fruits and spirits and design our own liqueurs.

Each guest goes home with a goodie bag including recipe sheets and the liqueur that you have made.

‘Sara is a fantastic tutor; engaging and informative in perfect measure. These courses are excellent value for money; to learn in a home environment that you can easily replicate, with like minded enthusiasts. And with home made refreshments; endless supplies of wonderful coffee, biscuits and cakes from her own organic produce… Highly recommended and also a great day with friends.’  Karen, 29 January 2015
