Bread Angels on black cubeWe are pleased to announce that Hen Corner has recently opened a Micro Bakery from our urban smallholding at our West London home.

Orders can be placed here>>>>

Sara and her friend, Katie, have completed their Bread Angel training with Jane Mason of Virtuous Bread and are ready to bake for you.

‘I’ve been baking bread for our family for years and love the thought of partnering with fellow Bread Angel, Katie Baxter, to offer fresh, handmade bakes to our local community using organic flour and traditional recipes’. Sara Ward, Hen Corner

Within days we had over thirty customers and are now baking a selection of loaves, buns, cakes and treats every Friday.

Bread Basket & tableThe Micro Bakery at Hen Corner brings Real Bread, hand made with no preservatives, to our local community.
We advertise our products on our online shop then roll up our sleeves every Friday to bake all day ensuring that everything is ready for collection between 5-7pm.

We also have honey, eggs & preserves, when they are available, along with greeting cards and other seasonal goodies.

Hen Corner Shop – Open for business!

The Micro Bakery is open on Fridays in Brentford, West London, between 5-7pm.

Whilst we are delighted to bake bread and treats for our local community, we also run regular courses equipping you to bake bread for your own family and friends.

These courses enable a development of skills in a relaxed environment and make a great gift for someone who would like to try their hand at baking real bread.

‘I had a fantastic day learning how to bake at Hen Corner. Sara welcomed me with a warm cinnamon swirl and organic tea in her lovely garden. The chickens were all around and you can breathe fresh healthy air (it really doesn’t seem to be in London!). During the day we learnt to bake different types of sweet and sour breads and my family couldn’t believe their eyes when they saw (and tasted) what I baked. Thanks Sara for your hospitality, I will definitely recommend Hen Corner’s courses!’  TripAdvisor, September 2015
